Disability Insurance Attorney
How much longer? (SSDI related)?

The reason I ask this question – on the waiting period for a hearing an administrative law judge of the Social Security Disability Insurance – is because I have been given conflicting answers. Some say a year, some say that 18 months or even more than two years. I've been waiting for nearly a year since the filing an appeal to see a judge, and I have a note of the Congress of the interests of my case. This month marks one year mark, and my lawyer said, possibly, another twelve months, while his secretary told me I could not wait a day to day. I was told by another agent (Independent of the law firm) for another six months. As I mentioned that I have a note of the Congress of the interests of my file. Will that speed things up? Thanks

You have hired an attorney who allegedly has experience in these matters you think might be up for another year. That is the answer that would pay attention. I can say that he would like his case is resolved, but the answers to get here will not change anything. Any answer you get here know when suggesting your case will be heard will be uninformed speculation. Listen to your lawyer, his secretary and certainly not random strangers on Yahoo!
